Visit Guatavita, a municipality in the department of Cundinamarca, located in the Bogotá Savannah in the Eastern Cordillera. The municipality of Guatavita has an average altitude of 2668 meters above sea level with an average annual temperature of 13.2 °C. The Guatavita lagoon is located in the municipality of Sesquilé, former Chibcha chiefdom. The Muisca ceremony of El Dorado took place in the Guatavita lagoon. In this ceremony the heir to the throne of Zipazgo took possession of the throne, thus acquiring the dignity of Zipa. You will learn the history of this ceremony and its legacy in the history of the country.

Tour description:

On this tour you will learn about the process of growing, harvesting and producing coffee in one of the most important farms in the region, where you will also be able to taste an exquisite cup of coffee. Then you will have the opportunity to go to Salento, a small municipality located in the Central mountain range, with a spring temperature, there you will be able to see some of its most emblematic monuments. Santa Fé de Bogotá was founded in 1538 by three Spanish conquistadors, Gonzalo Jimenez de Quesada, Sebastián de Belalcazar and Nikolaus de Federman. The name of the city comes from Bacatá, place of residence of the Muiscas Indians. Bogotá was actually founded twice, today an international, modern and cosmopolitan city in southern America. It is the third highest capital in the world (after La Paz and Quito), since it is located 2,625 meters above sea level, where all the most important government entities in the country are located, etc.
